XIOM Opera Pro ping-pong rubber is part of the Opera series, developed for modern attacking play, where the player needs stable ball contact, strong rotation, clear timing, and a quick transition from control to attack.
The Opera Pro model combines two different playing characteristics: sticky ball contact and tension acceleration. The sticky phase helps stabilize contact, add spin, and improve feel on serves, receive, and the initial topspin strike. When the player actively accelerates the strike, the tension structure releases the ball with a pronounced “click” sensation and a quick release.
It is important to note that Opera Pro is not designed as a surface for maximum flat speed. Its main strength is very fast topspin. Speed is created mainly through active topspin strokes, sticky contact, correct timing, and a strong catapult response. After the bounce, the ball stays low and continues forward, taking away the opponent’s reaction time.
The sponge hardness 50.5° provides a solid and stable feel, but due to the hybrid design the rubber is not overly stiff. The thickness 2.1 mm allows enough sponge involvement for stronger topspin strokes, counterattacks, and fast exchanges.
During the development of the Opera series, Wang Hao participated as a product consultant. His guidance was used not only as promotional support but as a technical basis for development: stability of contact, timing, transition between control and attack, ball trajectory, and matching the rubber with the blade.
XIOM Opera Pro is an excellent choice for players who want a hybrid rubber for topspin play, with high rotation, a clear feel on active strikes, and controlled touch in short game.
